Stunting for Cheerleaders is a structured training class for both flyers and bases, designed to help cheerleaders build strong fundamentals, confidence, and safe stunting habits—at every level.
Many cheerleaders experience the same challenge:
They are shown a stunt or sequence during team practice and are expected to perform it quickly for a routine. When it doesn’t click right away, athletes are often encouraged to “practice more” on their own time—sometimes in open gym settings where there is no direct instruction, just repetition and pressure.
The result?
Athletes try to figure it out on the fly, confidence drops, frustration rises, and progress stalls—not because they aren’t capable, but because the foundational skills haven’t been properly trained.
This class exists to fill that gap.
At ABS, we focus on teaching the fundamentals behind stunting, so athletes understand why a stunt works—not just what it looks like.
Flyers work on:
-
Body awareness, balance, and correct body positions
-
Tension, control, and stability in the air
-
Building confidence through proper progression
Bases work on:
-
Safe lifting mechanics and posture
-
Hand placement, grip strength, and footwork
-
Timing, communication, and spotting awareness
By training both roles together, athletes learn how to support one another effectively, reducing fear, breakdowns, and unnecessary stress.
This class is appropriate for all experience levels. Beginners develop a solid foundation from the start, while experienced cheerleaders refine technique, improve consistency, and clean up execution—so team practices become more productive and less overwhelming.
Our goal is simple:
To help cheerleaders walk into practice prepared, confident, and physically ready—so routines feel achievable, not intimidating.
